Private Birth Preparation in Copenhagen

Birth preparation is not about learning the “right” way to give birth or trying to predict exactly what will happen.

Through three private sessions, you and your partner will build a deeper understanding of birth, practise ways of working with labour, and prepare to make informed decisions as your birth unfolds.

This is an active preparation for both of you. Your partner is not there just to listen — you learn and practise together, discovering how they can support you and how you can work as a team during birth.

The program combines evidence-based information, hands-on practice, emotional preparation and holistic tools, and is adapted to your pregnancy, your planned birth and your individual needs.

The goal is not to prepare for the “perfect birth.” It is to understand birth well enough to navigate whatever path your story takes.

A comprehensive birth preparation course in English, at your home — designed for you and your partner to prepare for birth as a team.

Pregnancy

Four Learning Chapters explored over 3 private sessions

The program follows four chapters, taking you from understanding how birth works to preparing for labour, postpartum and feeding your baby.
But this is not hours of sitting and listening. We move, practise, ask questions, try techniques, reflect and discover what actually works for you and your partner.
Chapter 1 — The language of birth — Understand what is happening
Birth can feel much less overwhelming when you understand what your body and your baby are doing.
This chapter gives you a foundation for understanding the process of birth, so you and your partner can recognise what is happening, know what to expect and approach labour with greater confidence.
Chapter 2 — The balance between intensity and calm — Discover how you can work with labour
Knowing about birth is different from knowing what to do when you are in it.
In this chapter, you and your partner discover and practise different ways of responding to the intensity of labour, so you can identify what works for you and begin building your own way of working together.
Chapter 3 — The beginning of a life together — Prepare for what comes after birth
Having a baby changes much more than your daily routine.
This chapter helps you look beyond the birth and prepare for the physical and emotional transition into postpartum, with a clearer idea of what you may need from yourself, your partner and the people around you.
Chapter 4 — The rhythm of breastfeeding — Preparing for breastfeeding and the first days with your baby
Breastfeeding is something you and your baby learn together.
This chapter gives you a foundation for understanding how breastfeeding works and what to expect in the beginning, so you can approach those first days with realistic expectations, recognise when things are going well and know when it may be useful to ask for support.

Practical information

Private birth preparation

4,000 kr

Three private sessions of approximately 3 hours each. Price per couple/family.

Good to know before booking

At your home
Sessions take place in your own home. I primarily work in Copenhagen and nearby areas, including Frederiksberg, and can also travel to locations in Zealand and Funen that are reasonably accessible by train. Additional travel expenses may apply depending on location.
When to begin
I usually recommend starting around weeks 30–32 of pregnancy. This gives you time between sessions to absorb the information, practise together and continue preparing without rushing. Friday afternoon sessions are available for couples who need to plan around work.
Languages
The full course is available in English or Spanish. A Danish/English combination is also possible.
Adapted to you
This is not a fixed course that every family receives in exactly the same way. I adapt the sessions to your pregnancy, your planned birth and the way you learn and prepare best. This can include preparing for a hospital birth, home birth or twins, adapting the pace and materials for neurodiversity or anxiety, and adjusting the preparation around your feeding plans and the people who will support you during birth. For a planned C-section, I offer a shorter version focused on the preparation that is relevant to your birth and recovery.

What clients say...

- Macarena

Lili creates such a lovely and nurturing environment during the birth preparation course. I came into the first session with uncertainty and so many questions. Even after the first class I already felt so much more at ease. She gives a perfect, thorough combination of holistic and medical information so that I could feel confident to approach my birth more calmly and prepared. She also helped with breastfeeding and communication advice for when my two girls arrive. I highly recommend Lili’s services in any capacity. Thank you for this special experience.
